Description
"Faith" was created by me in 2006. She is a little less than life-size 27 1/2 inches tall, 17 1/2 long (base of dress) and 12 inches wide (base of dress). She was created because children have an innocence to them that is hard to find elsewhere or later in life and when they play dress-up, in this case, they are playing what they want to become later in life, therefore; faith to become that which they choose.
I wanted the sculpture to have the appearance of green ware (wet clay) so "Faith" is painted. I also wanted her to look like an old fashion photo with just a few colors. She is heavy and delicate.
