In 2005, as a lover of Surf Culture, Fashion and Art, I found myself having a painful revelation about the state of mainstream women’s surf clothing and products. I found myself no longer relating to the mid-90’s marketing invasion of hibiscus & plumeria flowers. It was apparent that most of the women’s surf brands were lacking artistic appeal and were not evolving ... just pushing out more of the same. I started brainstorming about launching my own women’s surf brand based upon putting the “soul” and “stoke” back into fashion. What started out as an outlet for my passion & entrepreneurial experiment, quickly grew into much more than just selling a few shirts. Now the Brand, Bellasol, is a major player in the Action Sports Industry.
