In 1988, just four years old, Aneesha DuBois was donning sweaters with snakeskin patches and leather mini skirts. Safe to say, she was raised with style. Having a true sense of what’s chic continued throughout grade school, as she won numerous “Best Dressed” superlatives. A definite trendsetter throughout college, friends often asked her to revamp their wardrobe. It was then that she realized she had natural talent.
Believing that style is priceless and unconventional, she chose a long time ago to stay out of the malls and instead frequent small boutiques and thrift stores. “’Thrifting’ is my favorite thing to do and I can’t believe I used to be embarrassed by it! And not because I didn’t have money but because it was secondhand clothing but you’d be amazed at some of the one-of-a kind things you find.” Now, “I’d choose the Salvation Army over Bloomingdales any day.” As she puts it, she lives her “fashionable life not caring what anyone says.”
Immediately after graduation, Aneesha moved to New York where she worked as a Programming Coordinator for Music Choice. Her style soon caught the eye of Music Choice Managers and she soon began styling Talent in, and then out of the office. Not only was she able to visualize fashion, she soon became the Assistant Style Editor for Hip Hop Weekly Magazine and Lifestyle Writer for AllHipHop.com penning articles on up-and-coming designers and mainstream Stylists. Choosing to relocate to Los Angeles, California in 2011 Aneesha was hired as an Associate Producer for E! News Now. And even as an AP, she is often asked to style On-Air Talent. While styling was never her main focus, it always seems to find its way to the forefront of her life. Recently, Aneesha decided to create a blog. Letmecoachyou.tumblr.com is where she posts her daily finds, thoughts and fashion ideas for the world.
